Update: NEW Social Media, BLOGMAS & Plans for the Future!

Hello everyone!

I just thought I would give you all an update on what's to come on this blog! I have some very exciting news for the upcoming holiday season, as well as plans for the future of this blog!

But before we get on to all of that, I have set up a Snapchat for all things Just Fifs! Just add 'justfifs' or do the fancy photo -magic thingy below to keep up to date with blog posts and YouTube videos!

And now onto the exciting stuff....
I have decided that I am going to attempt BLOGMAS! This means a new blog post from the 1st of December all the way up to Christmas Eve EVERYDAY!! That's 24 new blog posts over the next three weeks! I love the Christmas season (I've been listening to Christmas songs since November 1st!) and all things leading up to it, so I thought that I would share it all with you here. It's like Vlogmas that some YouTubers do, but it's in blog format obviously! Some blog posts will be linking up to YouTube videos, so be sure to subscribe to my channel if you haven't already!
I have already started planning some blog posts, which range from decorating the tree, to Christmas baking, to what I did that day! Keep your eyes peeled come the 1st of December! (See that little box to the right that says 'Subscribe'? Pop your email address in and you'll be notified when I put up a new post!!)

My second bit of 'news' is what I have planned for the future of Just Fifs
As some of you know, Just Fifs doesn't stop at this blog. It goes on to a YouTube channel that I started back in July. I may not have a lot of subscribers yet, but that doesn't stop me from posting videos and enjoying every second of it!
I plan to make this little community much more public in the next few weeks. But before I do that, I need to redesign my blog. And this is where you can come in...
If you, or someone you know, is any good at designing blogs and would like to help me out, please please PLEASE let me know! I'll leave the Just Fifs official email below.

And that is everything!
I hope you are all as excited for Christmas as I am!
Are you looking forward to BLOGMAS? Let me know down below!

Until next time.

Panic Attacks and Anxiety - What I do in that situation....

Hello everyone!

This is a bit of a tough post to write, but it's one that I've been meaning to do for a while. As you may or may not know, I suffer from panic attacks and mild anxiety. The last few weeks I have been free of these pains in the ass (that is literally the only way I can describe them..) and everything was good. This weekend, I had a panic attack while I was at a friend's house after a night out, and then this evening at work I had an anxiety attack after a customer shouted at me.

Both of these occurrences forced me to deal with the attacks on my own, as there was no way to get help from anyone else. So I decided that I would tell you what I do when I get into these situations, in hope of helping at least one of you.

1. Breathe: I know this one probably has you all going 'well, duh!' but seriously, if you've never had a panic/anxiety attack, then you won't know how tough it can be to get your breathing under control. I just take some deep breaths, in through my nose and out through my mouth. If you can get your breathing under control, then you will be able to think more clearly.

2. Take a minute to yourself: If I'm with a group of friends or with my family, I just walk away when I feel the attack coming on. I take a minute to myself in the bathroom or down in my bedroom to calm down.

3. Go outside: If possible I'll go outside to get some fresh air. Surprisingly, this helps really well because I can take my deep breaths in the fresh air and also cool down.

4. Drink some water: A big glass of ice cold water works wonders when I'm having an attack! Taking big, slow gulps of the water helps so much because I can control my breathing while doing so.

5. Picture your anxiety/stress: This is a new thing that I've been trying. When I read Zoella's book 'Girl Online,' one of the characters mentioned trying to picture your anxiety/stress as a shape, give it a colour and eventually watch it disappear. I tried this today and I pictured a blue circle until it got lighter in colour and became as small as a polka dot. I was shocked to discover just how well this worked!

6. Talk to someone you trust: The final thing I do if all else fails is talk to someone who understands the panic attacks and anxiety. I have one person for this and they have always been there for me when I needed them. All it takes is a short conversation with them, over the phone or in person, for me to calm down.

Do any of you have any tips for dealing with anxiety and panic attacks?

Just remember to keep calm and it's not the end of the world if something like this happens!

Until next time.
